The Fast & Loud Festival is almost here, and we can’t wait for the two massive weekends to take over Lake Mac.

Join us and experience Lake Mac’s Fast & Loud Festival! Fast & Loud is a lake wide event not to be missed packed full of speed and adrenaline-pumping action on and off the water throughout the 2 weekends in May. This jam-packed festival has something for everyone to enjoy with events held right around the lake!

100 Years of the History of Dance

Bursting at the seams with fascinating facts, wild stories and dance moves to die for, this show follows a schoolboy presenting a report on the topic of his own choice – 100 Years of the History of Dance! Exploring the lives of influential choreographers Jacob not only talks about them, but demonstrates their signature style at the same time. Don’t miss this brilliant, hilarious and fascinating show! 9 Squadron Rathmines Exhibition

Join us in remembering the 9 Squadron plane and all its crew who were lost with HMAS Sydney in November 1941 eighty years after their service and sacrifice at the original Rathmines Heritage Centre exhibition. Gold coin entry.

One foot on the ground, one foot in the water

This exhibition presents paintings, sculptures, installations and sound works, that challenge us to reckon with death and dying as an inherent part of life, invoking experiences of loss, impermanence, transience, remembrance, memorialisation and varied expressions of grief.

JamFactory ICON Kunmanara Carroll: Ngaylu Nyanganyi Ngura Winki

JamFactory ICON Kunmanara Carroll: Ngaylu Nyanganyi Ngura Winki (I Can See All Those Places) is a major solo exhibition which showcases a significant body of Carroll’s final ceramic works and paintings supported by a tapestry produced by the Australian Tapestry Workshop. Free admission.

Sunday Sessions at MAC

Catch a family-friendly concert at Music in the Podium, every Friday evening by the lake at Warners Bay.

Eurovision Viewing Party

Don’t miss the Hunter Valley’s only live screening of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 Grand Final Broadcast live from Italy, this glam-tastic viewing party will be hosted by Timberlina. A $100 prize will be awarded to the most outrageous costume For inspiration, check out Australia’s Eurovision 2022 representative, the divine Sheldon Riley. Lake Mac Open Studios

Over Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June 2022, local artists and makers will open their studio doors and welcome the general public inside for a behind the scenes look; giving art lovers the chance to meet artists, learn about the creative process and purchase unique artworks to take home.

National Simultaneous Storytime

NSS is a fun event that aims to instil a love of reading, promote the value of reading and literacy, and support and showcase our talented Australian authors and illustrators. Each year one Australian children’s book is chosen as the title to be read for NSS. Join in at your local library for a special ‘Family Tree’ story time at 11am.

Open Studios June 2022 Workshops

As part of Lake Mac Open Studios June 2022, Yarra Balba Studios will be running art workshops on Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 of June. Learn from talented local artists as they teach you a range of art practices, from watercolour to experimental drawing.
