From school holiday activities, to live music and a jam-packed weekend of family fun for the 2022 Lake Mac Festival.

Join us for a week of fun events, live performances and activities this summer at the Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima MAP in Speers Point Park.

Lake Mac Festival
Prepare yourself for two days packed full of family fun! Lake Mac Festival is back in 2022, celebrating living in Lake Macquarie. A community-focused, all ages assortment of diverse events for the community.

Live Music Lake Mac – William Crighton and Melody Pool
Join William Crighton and Melody Pool for a fabulous performance at Warners Bay Theatre, baramayiba. Tickets $40 per person. Discover Service NSW Vouchers can be redeemed at this event.

Lake Mac Ferry Service
Take a trip on the lake this summer on Lake Mac’s new Ferry! Operating on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, zig-zagging from existing jetties at Speers Point, Booragul, Toronto, Belmont and Wangi Wangi.

Truth of Fire: Tim Georgeson
An exhibition responding to the Australian bushfires of 2019/20 and the significance of First Nations knowledge and fire practices.

Be a part of a real-life story book adventure and go on a quest with story teller Jo Henwood. $10 per child, suitable for primary aged children

MAC School Holiday Workshop: yapang artmaking
Create your own art work inspired by Contemporary Aboriginal Art on display in the Art Museum. Includes a short tour of the Yapang Emerging art prize featuring Contemporary Aboriginal artists from around Australia. Cost is $10 per person includes all materials.

PRESS PLAY: Ocean Garden – The lawns of the new Multi
Arts Pavilion, mima will be transformed into a dreamy underwater garden with giant inflatables by Goldberg Aberline Studio. Giant starfish, turtles and technicolour sea creatures will beckon you to come out and play.

PRESS PLAY: The Big Bang with Andy Firth
To celebrate the new Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima, Lake Macquarie City Council commissioned Firth to create a new work that captures the essence of our city. Join us for the first-ever performance of Andy Firth’s MAP mima Fanfare. Tickets are $10 per person.

Breathtaking contemporary dance in a location like no other. Don’t miss Catapult’s return to MAP mima for one night only this January. Tickets range from $15 – $30.
