February and March are jam packed full of events in Lake Macquarie.

The Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima), is gearing up to host a lively weekend of family-friendly festivities to bid farewell to summer and celebrate the conclusion of the summer exhibition, Valley of a Thousand Plants. From immersing yourself in Joel Zika’s vibrant exhibition to grooving at the kids’ disco, and enjoying art-making sessions and performances by St Paul’s Catholic College Aboriginal dance group, there’s something for everyone. Get ready for a weekend packed with workshops, art-making, music, dancing, and more at mima’s Press Play event!

LAKE MAC WOMEN IN SPORT FESTIVAL

Get ready to empower young girls and women in sport at the annual Women in Sport Festival happening next March! Packed with a week of fun activities, this festival offers a range of events designed to engage participants of all ages and skill levels. From the Try a Sport day, where you can explore new sports free of cost, to community events across Lake Macquarie, Sporty kids storytimes at Lake Mac Libraries, and the Skaties 80s event at MAP mima, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. LIVE MUSIC LAKE MAC: Darlinghurst supported by Piper Butcher

Get ready for an unforgettable night of music as Darlinghurst and Piper Butcher take the stage at Warners Bay Theatre in March! Presented by Live Music Lake Mac, HIT Productions, and Premier Artists, this event is part of Lake Macquarie City Council’s Women in Sport Festival in celebration of International Women’s Day. Tickets are just $50 and $45 for Lake Mac Arts members.
