West Best Bloc Fest 2025 will return for its fourth year, bringing together 12 stages and 100 homegrown artists for one massive day of live music in the city’s Midtown precinct.
Spread across nine venues on the block bordered by Steel Street, Union Street, King Street and Hunter Street, the festival will once again transform the precinct into a hub of sound and energy.
From intimate bars to bustling stages, every corner of the West End will be alive with music. This is Newcastle’s biggest celebration of local music.
The event is a true reflection of Newcastle’s rich live music heritage. Known for producing world-class talent, the city’s scene has always found ways to adapt and thrive, and WBBF has become a showcase of the creativity and resilience that continues to drive it forward.
What makes the festival unique is its grassroots nature. The line-up, venues and organisation are all powered by local bands, businesses and individuals, giving the event an authenticity and energy that larger festivals can’t replicate. It’s a celebration by the community, for the community.
Over the past three years, WBBF has cemented itself as a highlight on Newcastle’s cultural calendar. With a diverse range of acts spanning multiple genres, it offers something for every music fan while also highlighting emerging talent.

West Best Bloc Fest takes place on Sunday 5 October 2025 across Newcastle’s West End. The event is 18+ and proudly supported by City of Newcastle. Tickets are on sale now at westbestblocfest.com.
