WERE YOU THERE?: Lovedale Long Lunch 2019

Sun sparkles on Hunter Valley’s long running liquid lunch

The 26th anniversary of the Lovedale Long Lunch saw 1000’s of wine lovers (and a number of wine novices) descend on the boutique wine region of Lovedale in the famous Hunter Valley.

Animal print and bottles of bright, young rosè were the choice du jour throughout the weekend event.

An ‘Avalon’ blend at Emma’s Cottage Vineyard was exceptional value and thoroughly enjoyed in their gardens.

Over at Sandalyn Wilderness Estate, Phobic got the crowd grooving under the shade of the marquee.

Tatler Wines was, as always, a toe-tapping, all-party, Frizzante affair.

Whilst at Gartelmann Wines, cheese plates and sparkling shiraz were savoured as the grounds were kicked up to tunes of the 1980’s – hits many revellers had never heard and conversely, the soundtrack to many other punters youths.

And to those vineyards we missed out on this year – Allandale Winery, Wandin Winery, and Saltire Estate – here’s cheers to 2020.
