Australian country star and 44th winner of Toyota Star Maker Wade Forster has announced his highly anticipated new album Gooseneck Party, set for release on 24 October.

The news comes alongside the launch of the album’s title track and a run of sold-out shows across Australia, including a show in Newcastle, and the United States.

The 22-track record digs deep into the grit of rodeo life and the resilience of the outback spirit, weaving tales of long nights, love, heartbreak and the camaraderie of the road.

Tracks like Take That Buckle Home, Last of a Dying Breed and One Night Stand are joined by new songs including 30 Minutes ’fore Noon, Emily and Villain, all capturing Wade’s trademark mix of honesty and swagger.

Forster describes the album as a collection of stories lived and shared around the back of a gooseneck trailer, where cowboys swap tales with a drink in hand. That authenticity has become his hallmark, enabling him to build an international fan base without the backing of a major label.

His debut album The Beginning, released in 2022, has since clocked more than 50 million streams, cementing his reputation as one of country’s fastest-rising independent voices.

The release of Gooseneck Party comes during a career-defining period for Forster, who has sold out headline shows across the U.S. and is already upgrading venues to meet demand.

His Dying Breed Tour will take him to major festivals and stages across both continents, including an appearance at the Strumming Bird Festival alongside Jelly Roll and Shaboozey.

Gooseneck Party is out Friday, 24 October, with the title track available to stream now. Wade Forster plays the Strumming Bird Festival in Newcastle on 1 November – tickets and festival details are available via strummingbird.com.au.
