The Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill is being considered by parliament at the moment and would apply to people who have a terminal illness that would cause death within six months or 12 months for a neurodegenerative condition.
Greg Piper, the co-author of the Bill, says that while the Premier and opposition leader both oppose the bill, all MP’s are being given a conscience vote.
While the debate continues on the bill, the people it will affect remain in limbo.
