Delucas had become a Darby Street dynasty of sorts. An Italian institution with its intimate interiors and glow from their glamorous lamp shades.
You could always rely on Delucas to bring unfussy deliciousness to your date night.
You can imagine of disappointment when we walked down Darby Street to find the restaurant empty and a For Lease sign in the window.
But thankfully our despair was only fleeting.
That’s because we have since learned that Delucas has relocated to the equally iconic Croatian Wickham Sports Club and we are considering this a public service announcement.
The red lampshades have remained, as has the Gnocchi Gorgonzola!
This relocation could actually be a real hit – there’s more space, outdoor dining options and it’s family-friendly.
