Newcastle’s own Viper Creek Band are kicking up more than dust — their new album Kickin’ Up Dust has debuted at number three on the iTunes Country Music Chart.
Since forming in early 2011, the band set out to bring a fresh sound to Aussie country music. Judging by the chart success and growing fanbase, it’s clear they’ve struck a chord.
The album is available now for digital download via iTunes, or you can pick up a physical copy at JB Hi-Fi in Glendale. Fans will also have a chance to catch the band live and in person when Damien and the boys perform an in-store set at JB Hi-Fi on March 13, followed by a signing session.
It’s another big moment for Newcastle’s country scene — and a reminder that the Viper Creek Band aren’t slowing down any time soon.
