Umi Japanese restaurant has opened its doors on The Boulevarde in Toronto.
It’s the second Japanese restaurant that’s opened on the main street of the lakeside suburb in recent years, with Mizumi quickly becoming a favourite for locals and visitors alike.
Umi’s brightly lit and colourful dining room started welcoming its first customers early this week serving up a modest menu of donburi, udon, sushi, sashimi and a smattering of fashion dishes and sides.
Some many highlights include the MB5+ rare beef wagyu rice bowl served with flying fish row and fried garlic and the Umi Supreme sushimi platter with kingfish, scallops, salmon, tuna and octopus.
But, for us, Japanese food is all about the entrees and sides and they’ve got everything you could ask for including karage, takoyaki, wakame salad and agedashi tofu.
You can find Umi Japanese restaurant at 68 The Boulevarde, Toronto and check them out on Facebook to see their full menu.
