TWISTED BEER WEEK: A celebration of craft beer hits Maitland this month

Clear the schedule, because the organisers of the Bitter & Twisted Boutique Beer Festival are throwing a week-long beer-inspired party… And you’re invited.

Kicking off on Monday, 22 November, and running all week long, Twisted Beer Week is giving ale lovers the chance to come together with local businesses, publicans, brewers, and artisans to celebrate all things craft beer.

Twisted Beer Week will be held across a number of venues throughout Central Maitland that will be celebrating all things craft beer and hosting events including tap takeovers and tastings.

The Pourhouse

As part of Twisted Beer Week, The Pourhouse will be serving Beer Can Chicken! The barbecue chook will be infused with different craft beers and served up for takeaway or dine-in.

The Family Hotel

On Saturday 27 November beer lovers will be able to enjoy a $25 lunch special which includes two American craft beers and a burger. And people looking to keep the craft beer party going for ‘The Big Hitter’ a courtesy Bus will be running to The Whistler every hour from 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm.

The Rigby

Wildflower Brewing will be on show at The Rigby. The brewery, which focuses on fermenting beers with a mixed house culture of brewers yeast mixed with wild yeast and bacteria foraged from New South Wales, will have two of their craft beers to two at the venue.

The Commercial Morpeth

Head to The Commercial on Thursday, 25 November, for a craft beer and cheese tasting meet the brewer session hosted by The Commercials inhouse brewer. Tickets are just $25 and can be booked by calling the venue on (02) 4934 5316

The Regal Inn

The Regal Inn in Tenambit will be rolling out the red carpet for craft beer lovers on Saturday, 27 November with bar stalls, raffles, live music and tasting cards for their tap lineup.

The Bradford

During Twisted Beer Week 4 Pines Brewing Company will host a tap takeover at The Bradford in Rutherford with tastings available for people to try out the range.

Coquun

Shout Brewing will also be getting in on the action. Coquun, on High Street in Maitland, will be showcasing the craft brewery’s tins of absolute deliciousness throughout the week.

CJ’s on The Levee

And if you like your beer with a view and some yummy food, CJ’s on The Levee are doing Spanish Tapas and Beers on the riverside.
