With the end of the lockdown almost here, The Kent is pulling out the big guns for the hotel’s new menu.
Hunt Hospitality, who own The Kent, are bringing internationally renowned Australian Executive Chef Troy Medynski home, and his first job will be to begin working on expanding the culinary options at the Beaumont street hotel.
Managing Director of Hunt Hospitality,Stephen Hunt says the move will re-invent the Hospitality Game.
“For Hunt Hospitality to strategically bring in Troy as the Groups Executive Chef during this current climate will re-invigorate not only our amazing menu selection and staff support but also bridge gaps that have been created during this downtime. We always think of, and wish to support our local suppliers,” said Stephen Hunt.
After kicking things off at The Kent, Troy will start working on menus at the other local Hunt Hospitality venues like the Seabreeze, Duke of Wellington and the Imperial Hotel in Maitland.
“Bringing in a bit of zing to some Aussie favourites and adding some new exotic flavours to the menu is exactly what we all need when the time is announced that we can drink, eat and come together again. The Team and I are looking forward to celebrating with you,” said Troy.
Medynski will be flying home to Australia from Laos. His credentials including working kitchens for the IHG Crowne Plaza Hotel chain, Australian Chamber of Commerce and Etihad Airways.
We can’t wait to try some of his dishes.
