Top Places to Take Your Dog in Newcastle

Everyone knows that everything in life is better with a doggo by your side. They bring joy, spread happiness, and allow introverts like me to start a conversations with people they generally would avoid eye contact with. Dogs are always happy to see you, their one goal in life is to spread joy and tail wagging happiness, so obviously you want to take your best friend with you everywhere you go right? Here are the best places in Newy were you can take your dog.

The Family Hotel

Beer and doggo? Hot damn what more could you want out of life? The Family Hotel on Hunter Street are proudly dog friendly. Best place to get an icy cold Melbourne Bitter on tap, and never feel like you have to leave your little mate home alone again. Anyway, your dog probably dances better than you!

Horseshoe Dog Beach

Sunshine, sand, cool ocean breeze, and your happy four legged pal literally living their dream. Plenty of space to roam around, splash about, and of course make friends with all of the other lucky canines who happen to be having the best day ever. There are usually enough dogs on the beach to and besides, who doesn’t want to see just how popular their  pal is amongst the species.

Barcito Beaumont Street

Yep you read right, just when you think you couldn’t get a better afternoon then hanging out with your best mate whilst having a few shandies with the boys, now you can also have Mexican food too. As far as I know, this is a new inclusion to the Beaumont Street restaurant but it’s plastered all over the signs at the front so what are you waiting for?

Any Cafe With Outdoor Seating

I always silently applaud dog owners who include their pooch on their morning coffee run. It gives me a chance to say “what a good boy you are” or “well now pretty lady you are looking happy today”. To the dogs obviously.

Wickham Dog Park

Finally, you can’t go wrong with a classic trip to the dog park. I also think it’s becoming a lot more popular for non dog owners to head to the park just to get their daily dose of doggo goodness. Pick a picnic, some snacks, a tennis ball and you’re good to go!
