Celebrate our four-legged friends with a film fest that’s gone to the DOGS!

There’s no denying that we Novocastrians love our dogs and with approximately 45,000 of them begging for treats here in Newcastle, it’s not hard to see why!

It makes sense then that a short film festival aimed at highlighting just how brilliant dogs are should roll into town.

That’s why the Top Dog Film Festival will be hitting Event Cinemas, Kotara on Saturday 17 October.

Screening for one session only, the Festival is a tail wagging showcase featuring a carefully curated collection of heartwarming stories about dogs, their people and the unbreakable bonds they create.

It’s a two hour-plus cinematic celebration of canine cuteness that is filled with delightfully doggy moments of joy and the program is comprised of some of the most heartwarming, inspirational and just downright entertaining stories about dogs and their humans from independent filmmakers from around the world.

So, if you reckon that dogs are the bee’s knees, or even the cat’s pyjamas for that matter this is a cinematic experience that should be right up your alley.

But given the amount of doggo love in this town you might want to book your tickets early because missing out on this one would be ruff!

The Top Dog Film Festival 2020 is on at Event Cinemas, Kotara on Saturday 17 October. Head here for tickets and more information.
