It’s been almost a year since Central Coast band Annakye took home the Newcastle Live prize at the inaugural What Were You Wearing? Battle of the Bands.
The band used that time to hit the studio to record their brand-new single, Too Far South, which hit streaming services earlier today.
Recorded by Ron Francois at Point Studio, Too Far South builds on the sound the band have been evolving towards since forming in 2019.
While Annakye initially made a name for themselves in the local music scene with a blend of alternative and pop influences the arrival of the new singers has led them to explore a more alternative direction in this new single.

Annakye will celebrate the release of the single with a gig at The Hamilton Station Hotel on 30 April.
