TINA: The Ultimate Tribute to The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll hits Newcastle

Newcastle is set to relive one of the greats when TINA The Ultimate Tribute to The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll hits town for a show at the Civic Theatre later this month.

The show, produced by the world-renowned Showtime Australia, is a celebration of Tina Turner’s unparalleled legacy, coming just a year after the world mourned the loss of the iconic singer.

“Tina Turner is universally loved,” the show’s Director and Producer, Johnny Van Grinsven said.

“Everyone young and old knows her music and there’s so many really energetic, upbeat rock and soul tracks that are the epitome of a good time, so we wanted to make the effort and give as many people as possible a chance to see this show, it’s really that great.”

South African singer and television star Caroline Borole will take on the role of Tina Turner, backed by an international band, brass section, backing vocalists, and dancers.

Borole’s dynamic performance, combined with the exceptional musical talents accompanying her, promises a concert experience that will be both a fitting tribute to Turner’s legacy and an unforgettable night for live music lovers in Newcastle.

After triumphant tours in Canada, New Zealand, and the United States, this will be the first time Australian audiences can experience the production.

The concert promises two hours of non-stop Tina Turner hits, spanning the 60s through the 90s. Expect to hear classics such as (Simply) The Best, What’s Love Got To Do With It, River Deep Mountain High, We Don’t Need Another Hero, Nutbush City Limits, Proud Mary, and Private Dancer.

Each song will be performed live, capturing the energy and passion that Tina Turner herself brought to the stage.

TINA The Ultimate Tribute to The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, will hit the stage at the Civic Theatre in Newcastle on Wednesday, 26 June. For tickets and show info visit civictheatrenewcastle.com.au.
