Meet me at The MEX for live music every Thursday night! That’s the message from the crew at Mayfield Ex-Services Club who are bringing the Friday night live music vibes to Thursday nights in Mayfield.
And the lineup of live music they’ve put together is nothing to sneeze about either. From the mighty DV8 to country favourites Hurricane Fall, they’ve put together a run of bands that will keep your calendar stacked and your dance moves fresh.
Check out who’s coming up below.
Hurricane Fall
Thursday, 21 November sees one of Newcastle’s most loved country acts, Hurricane Fall, take to the stage for the first time at MEX. If you’ve never seen the band before, think classic-country like Garth Brooks combined with sounds of Eric Clapton and modern contemporaries Brothers Osborne. They’ve become known for their high energy live performance and unique banter with their fans.
Early Daze
A powerhouse of classic rock, and they make no excuse about it. The local lads have become known to kick start a party playing choice covers from the 60s til now. EarlyDaze never fails to get the young and the young at heart on the dancefloor. They roll into MEX on Thursday, 28 November.
DV8
In Newcastle, the mighty DV8 need to introduction. It’s rock n’ roll for a rock n’ roll town. A band of hard-driving, no-frills blues-rockers. What more can we say! The mighty DV8 hit the MEX on Thursday, 5 December.
