Local Athlete heads to Gold Coast for Little Athletics National High-Performance Camp

Thomas Cashion will represent the Macquarie Hunter Little Athletics Centre when he heads to the National High-Performance Camp on the Gold Coast in October.

The top performers from the 2023 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships have been invited to the event.

Thomas will participate in the Combined Events after finishing first at the recent NSW State Championship 2023.

The camp’s purpose is to provide every athlete with a chance to enhance various aspects of their performance, including track skills, recovery techniques, preparation methods, psychological strength, and a deeper comprehension of the developmental journey within the high-performance pathway.

Current and former Australian International athletes will be on hand during the four-day event coaching and presenting, sharing their own experiences, and their journey from Juniors to International representation.

“The Coles Little Athletics National High-Performance Camp is designed to help our next generation of athletes get the extra training and mentoring they need to take them to the next level in their chosen event,” CEO of Coles Little Athletics Australia, Myles Foreman said

“With the support of some of Australia’s leading coaches and presenters, our Little Athletes will leave the camp ready to set a new personal best.”
