This That festival announced for Newcastle

Billed as a cultural arts & music event and presented by youth radio station Triple J, the THIS THAT festival will hit Newcastle on Saturday October 31.

Organisers say that the line up will be announced at 12:30pm on Thursday the 30th of July, with tickets on sale Tuesday the 4th of August.

Triple J Said….

“The all-day event will take over Newcastle’s beachside Foreshore with a mix of local and international artists performing across two main stages.

The THIS stage will host a genre-spanning mix of established and emerging talent, spanning cutting-edge indie, rock, hip hop and more. Meanwhile, the THAT stage will feature electronic and dance artists tearing it up.

As well as the line-up, promoters are also promising “primo eats [and] carefully crafted beverages” to enjoy.

Think culinary delights from local chefs and restaurants, Sydney food trucks trekking North for the occasion, plus mixologists and cocktail wizards from the region’s clique bars and venues to round off a selection of craft beer, wine, and spirits at the 18+ event.

True to its namesake, the festival will also offer this, that, and The Other – a dedicated arts area curated by Newcastle’s famed The Follower and Hunt & Gather boutique and designer markets.

The Other area will feature artisan stalls, installations, performances, interactive workshops, and more.”
