THIS IS NOT A DRILL: Patti Smith and Her Band to play Newcastle Entertainment Centre!

Tickets on sale from Wednesday 29th of January 2020

Yes, you read the headline correctly. The Godmother of Punk, Patti Smith and Her Band are headed to town for a gig at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre in April!

This has been made possible because of the amazing response to her 2020 Bluesfest sideshow tour. Due to the demand for more shows, extra dates and venues were added to the tour and lucky for us, that included Newcastle! So now’s your chance to see one of music’s most influential artists in our home town.

After an award-winning sell-out Australian tour in 2017, we thought it would be the last time Patti Smith would tour the land down under. But here we are, and we couldn’t be more excited for her arrival in Newcastle!

Patti Smith reaches a new audience

Patti Smith recently performed a version of Neil Young’s ‘After the Gold Rush’ that has set the internet on fire. Her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, backed with just a piano, has seen a new fan base develop for the seminal punk artist.

You can check out a video of the performance below, and find out more about her show in Newcastle in April by clicking here.
