For 15 years Ben Nightingale (guitar/vocals), Martin K. (drums/vocals), Matty Stokes (guitar/vocals) and bass player Mick King, better known as The Ride Ons, have been pumping out their own original style of ‘toe-tapping dirty sweaty rock ‘n roll’.
The band’s members have some serious pedigree, having played roles with some of the country’s leading musical lights, including The Sleepy Jackson, Don Walker, The Clouds, Hound, The Blues Bombers and The Great Dividing Range.
Add to that a respectable list of supports to such bands as LA Guns, Hoodoo Gurus, The Celibate Rifles, The Screaming Jets, The Pictures and The Lime Spiders, and you have a band that knows how to rock and leave the audience wanting more.
After extensive touring to almost every compass point in Australia, The Ride Ons are hitting Hunter turf for one special weekend in July.
The gigs are ahead of the band’s plans to record two discs this year – one full acoustic album and the a full rocking EP.
The band’s previous five releases, including their debut album Delinquents With Hot Rods and the Transmission EP, are all available on iTunes and other major music sites.
So don’t miss the chance to catch The Ride Ons live – here are the dates to put in your calendar:
