A singer/songwriter with grace and flair, Amy Vee’s voice is otherworldly, with the ability to take you somewhere else in your mind and heart purely through her music.

Amy recently released two singles: ‘The Pilot’, an exploration of keeping your internal light on despite surrounding circumstances and ‘Jackknife’, a soft and lush tune layered over a subtle groove that seems to explore a relationship that has either had its time or is in need of some repair. Vee also hosted a live album recording at Lizottes recently and we can expect this jewel to be released soon.

Vee’s debut album Fits and Starts came out in 2013 and she has evolved immensely as an artist since then, Her 2019 album Same Skin is a superb work of art. The title track beds itself on a semi-tribal electronica beat as it explores the theme of aging, ruminating on how we cope with external change when our personal ideals, values and aspirations remain the same. ‘If Not Now, When’ is a song inspired by the stories from students who experienced the Stoneman Douglas High School massacre in 2018. Vee captures these in a series of vignettes that, unusually for Vee, provide a narrative about the strength of the students in coping with the tragedy. It is ghostly and illuminating, as is much of the album.
