Sydney indie rockers, The Jezabels will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their 2011 ARIA & AIR award-winning album Prisoner with a national tour that includes a show in Newcastle.

The show will see The Jezabels play the Prisoner album in its entirety. It’s the first time the band have ever performed a show like this.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be getting back together again for an Australian tour to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our debut album Prisoner,” said the band in a statement.

“It’s been a hell of a decade since it came out, but it’s made us all the more grateful for some of the things we took for granted. Like so many bands, playing our records live was always as important, if not more important, than making those records.

“We can’t think of a better way to celebrate ‘Prisoner’ and say thank you to our fans that have supported us over the years than to announce this tour. We hope you can join us.”

To mark the anniversary the band will also release a limited collectors 7inch that features a live recording of City Girl, captured at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne in 2011.

The release will only be available to people who buy tickets to the tour.

The Jezabels will play NEX in Newcastle for the Prisoner Ten Year Anniversary Tour on 12 June 2022. Presale tickets can be purchased from Wednesday 3 November.
