The Edwards brings fun & games to Father’s Day

In celebration of Father’s Day on Sunday 6th September, The Edwards will be converting their industrial garage area into ‘Ned’s Shed’ – a space where kids, grandkids, and grown-ups can enjoy some hands-on activities with their favourite father figures!

The lovely lads from the Newcastle Mens Shed, an exceptional not-for-profit community organisation, will be on hand to assist in the construction and adornment of some wooden masterpieces. You can make something for dad, make something with dad, or even knock up a little something to take home for yourself!

September also sees the arrival of Spring, and for The Menagerie Petting Zoo, this also means lots of baby animals! The Zoo will be setting up a small petting area at The Edwards, giving the whole family a chance to pat, cuddle or even bottle feed a few of these very cute visitors.

There’s a whole range of fun and games on offer, with ping-pong and corn-hole toss, and those who grew up in the late 70’s, 80s and 90s can reminisce with an original ATARI gaming console hooked up to the big screen. The girls from Oh Fleur! will have The Edwards sitting pretty and smelling sweet with their market fresh flower arrangements, because even dads love flowers!

After all the fun, the family will need a good feed, and The Edwards’ delicious wood-fired fare will certainly hit the spot. And since it’s dad’s big day, make sure you treat him to a tall and frosty one from their great beer selection!
