THE AINTS: The Church of Simultaneous Existence is an album 40 years in the making

The Aints play The Cambridge Hotel on Saturday 10 November

Ed Kuepper is bringing The Aints to Newcastle! Their gig at The Cambridge Hotel on Saturday 10 November is part of a tour celebrating the release of The Aints! The Church of Simultaneous Existence.

The release is made up from songs Ed wrote from the time he began high school in 1969  through to The Saints implosion in 1978.

Peter Oxley (Sunnyboys), Paul Larsen Loughhead (The Celibate Rifles) and jazzers Alister Spence and Eamon Dilworth make up the band with Ed out the front.

“We wanted to make an album and play some shows that sounded just like what we were doing in the ’70s,” Ed tells us over the phone during a recent interview.

“I don’t think we used anything to record the album that was invented after 1980” he continued.

Tickets for the show at The Cambridge on Saturday 10 November are now on sale.
