FLIP OUT: Teskey Brothers and more to hit the Hunter for SummerSalt 2022

While 2021 has proved, thus far, to be just as lacklustre as its predecessor, 2022 is shaping up to be a little brighter.

That’s because, Grammy-nominated homegrown sensation The Teskey Brothers will lead a mammoth line up of talent for the 2022 iteration of the SummerSalt Festival.

Kicking off at Roche Estate on Saturday 29 January, SummerSalt will see the So Caught Up hitmakers sharing the stage with the likes of festival favourites Cat Empire, the formidably talented John Butler, indie-folk outfit Boy and Bear, Sydney art-popster Montaigne and Northern Territory-via-Tasmania storyteller Emily Wurramara.

Not a bad way to kick off the new year, right?

2020 Grammy nominees The Teskey Brothers have come a very long way in a very short time. The Melbourne-bred four-piece has seen a meteoric rise in popularity in the past 12 months, amassing a legion of fans all around the world with their timeless soulful vibes and cracking live shows.

The band’s latest studio record Run Home Slow has proven to be a global hit with elements of soul, blues, southern rock, Americana, psychedelia, and gospel, and the striking single So Caught Up which won the AAA category of the International Songwriting Competition.

Onstage, these guys definitely pull out all stops, conjuring rare soulful energy and raw emotion. They have been crowd favourites at Latitude, Fuji Rock, North Sea Jazz, Love Supreme, Citadel, Bonnaroo and many more, not to mention selling out pretty much all of their own headline shows.

2020’s live album Live at The Forum debuted at number one on the Australian album chart and has been described by American Songwriter magazine as a near-perfect live recording.

SummerSalt is on at Roche Estate on Saturday 29 January 2022. Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday 21 May. Get them here.
