After a seven-year break, indie rockers Letters to Lions will bring their raw, raucous live energy to the Hamilton Station Hotel this Saturday.
The band carved out a cult following in the 2010s with sprawling guitar lines, urgent vocals and an anything-goes stage presence that saw them compared to acts like Kings of Leon, WU LYF, Last Dinosaurs and Foals.
With a new EP, aptly titled Seven Years, in hand, Letters to Lions have been carving out their “comeback” with sell-out shows, features on major Spotify playlists and now a brand new single that’s quickly becoming a favourite of their live sets.
Spare Change, which the band released in August, is quintessential Letters to Lions. It’s dripping in the jangly guitar sound, and speaks about perseverance and mateship with a touch of mischief thrown in for good measure.
The song is a great jumping off point for new fans to delve into the band’s back catalogue and a nod to long-time listeners that the four-piece aren’t back just to fuck around.
Letters to Lions will play the Hamilton Station Hotel on Saturday, 20 September 2025. Tickets are on sale via oztix.com.au.
