Melbourne’s southern-boogie six-piece Sweet Talk are rolling into Newcastle, bringing their powerhouse sound and brand new single Miller’s Bay to Bar on the Hill as part of a national tour supporting Alabama roots rockers The Red Clay Strays.
Sweet Talk’s Newcastle stop is part of a whirlwind East Coast run leading up to the release of their debut album Switch On, due out May 23 via Cheatin’ Hearts Records/Warner Music.
Produced by Texas Americana artist Robert Ellis and engineered by Grammy-winner Trina Shoemaker, Switch On is already generating serious buzz.
Their new single, Miller’s Bay—a slow-burning fan favourite that blends southern soul with classic rock—features the golden harmonies of American duo Uncle Roy & Spice, offering a taste of the album’s depth and musical ambition.
With a limited-edition orange and yellow vinyl pressing of Switch On available for pre-order and a rapidly growing national fanbase, Sweet Talk are a band on the rise.
You can catch Sweet Talk supporting The Red Clay Strays at Bar on the Hill on Monday, 19 May 2025. Check out their new single, Miller’s Bay, and grab your tickets by heading to sweettalkmusic.com.au.
