CHECK YOUR TICKETS: Two locals are half a million richer, they just don’t know it yet

Two people who purchased a Lotto ticket at Swansea Newsagency are half a million dollars richer today… They just don’t know it yet.

The ticket holders were part of a two-share store syndicate, which held one of the 10 division one winning entries in the Saturday, 8 January 2022, Lotto draw.

Swansea Newsagency owners Wayne Blackmore and Jo-Ann Brand said they were thrilled to have sold another division one winning entry.

“I arrived at the shop at 5am on Sunday morning and went through the daily ritual of printing the previous night’s draw information for our customers. To my surprise, one of the winning outlets was Swansea Newsagency!” Wayne said.

Each syndicate member receives a share worth $502,284.46.

“We’re waiting to see who the lucky winners might be as we have some very loyal syndicate customers. Just to see their smiles will be so good.

“Jo and I are so very happy, not only for the winners but also for our wonderful staff who have worked so hard through this pandemic to ensure our wonderful customers and our local community are safe.”

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he encouraged anyone who purchased a syndicate share into the recent Saturday Lotto draw to check their entries as soon as possible.

“If you purchased a Saturday Lotto syndicate ticket from Swansea Newsagency, today’s the day to check it! If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call us on 131 868 to start the prize claim process,” he said.
