Stone Empire rules the Cambridge Hotel

Dubbo born, Justin Dorin moved to Newcastle several years ago in an effort to take his musical career to the next level. Things seems to have worked out for him since then with his band, Stone Empire heading into the studio this week for pre production of their new EP, and a headline gig at The Cambridge Hotel this Saturday (June 6).

It’s big month for Stone Empire. The Newcastle based band are currently in pre production for their new EP with ARIA award winning producer David Nicholas. Nicholas’s work can be heard on albums by Elton John, Pulp, Ash, Soul Asylum, Brian Adams, Sting, Rod Stewart and Marcella Detroit, just t name a few.

The band will showcase the work they’ve been doing with the world renowned producer at The Cambridge Hotel this Saturday night (June 6).  Punters can expect to hear tracks from the band’s first album “Enclosure” produced by local, Tony Heads and a few new tunes the guys have been working on for the new release.

Newcastle Live recently spoke to Justin about the band’s plans for the future in an exclusive interview which you can hear below.
