Great news, warmth enthusiasts! Winter is all but done and dusted for another year.
To celebrate Old Man Winter going into hibernation, Charlestown eatery The Bavarian is pulling out all the stops with its Spring Fest.
This tempting festival of the fang is sure to put all of your pandemic fitness goals into jeopardy.
From Wednesday 2 September you can take part in a two-hour food, beer, cider and cocktail extravaganza in which you can quaff and nosh to your heart’s content.
Yep, that’s right. You’ll be shouting “wunderbar” to the heavens as you soak up Bavarian springtime vibes with a tempting share-style menu that includes warm, looped pretzels straight from the oven, golden chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce, roasted pumpkin, beetroot and goat’s cheese salad and, of course apple strudel with cinnamon, walnuts, raiasing and house-made vanilla ice cream.
Honestly, they had this writer at pretzels.
You can wash all of this down with an array of all-Australian beers and ciders as well as The Bavarian’s range of on-tap cocktails including Lychee Paradise, Apple-tini, Strawberry Margarita and Elderflower Garden.
So, if you’re keen to kick off the season with a bit of a spring in your lederhosen, Spring Fest at The Bavarian might just be the ticket.
