Spooky Halloween comp asks who can boast the most ghosts!

Are you an enthusiast of the paranormal? Are your All Hallows Eves normally left flat thanks to lacklustre spooks in B-grade horror flicks?

Well, Ghost Hunters Australia are offering you a Halloween to remember this year, with the Great Ghost Muster!

This event is unlike your garden variety ghost tour – this one is a competition and spectre spotters are invited to the historic township of Stroud for a night of spooky fun.

Using the Central Hotel as home base, the evening will begin with a slap-up pub feast before paranormal pundits split into teams and head out into town to start spotting those ghosts.

And given that Stroud can trace its convict-rich history waaaay back to the 1820s, chances are that if there are ghosts to be found, there’s likely to me more than a few roaming around.

After a couple of hours picking up as much paranormal evidence as possible, teams will then return to the pub to tally the results. The team with the most evidence will nab the Great Ghost Muster Trophy.

The chills don’t end there, either.

After the comp wraps up, your digs for the evening, the Central Hotel, then becomes your paranormal playground. and you will meet some of the pubs “residents”.

Who plays the piano? Where is that loud laughter coming from? Just who is that figure standing in the window of a morning?

While the ticket price includes a bed in the pub for the night, chances are you’re not going to get much sleep after checking out all of the chills that Stroud has to offer.

The Great Ghost Muster is on at Central Hotel Stroud on Saturday 31 October. Head here for more information and tickets.
