SOUND STATION: Your guide to Newcastle’s FREE Music & Arts Festival

As the Newcastle skyline grows with ongoing development, it has never been more important that we voice our support for live music and our live music venues. That’s the motive behind Newcastle’s FREE Music & Arts Festival, Sound Station.

Organisers, Newcastle’s Live Music Taskforce, hope that people attending the festival will show the numbers of people who support our city’s live music industry and want to protect it.

The festival is FREE and ALL AGES, and we’ve got all the info you need to make the most of it including how to get your FREE tickets, what you’ll find beyond the festival gates and info on how you could play on stage as part of the lineup.

Entry to Sound Station is absolutely free, but you’ve got to register for a ticket so event organisers can stick to the capacity of The Station.

It is also hoped that by having hard numbers of people who register for tickets, the Live Music Taskforce will be able to show governing bodies that people of all ages, from a whole bunch of areas, came out to support our live music industry in Newcastle.

You can get your tickets to the ALL AGES event by clicking the button below.

The Sound Station Music & Arts Festival is all about live music and organisers have put together a lineup that is nothing short of stacked.

The lineup features some of most the exciting acts currently coming out of Newcastle and the legacy bands that laid the foundations for the industry we all love and enjoy today.

Check out the full lineup above and if you’re in a band you can check out details of a band comp that could see you on the bill below in this post.

The Sound Search Band Comp gives you the chance to win a spot on the main stage at Sound Station.
