Soul Mover Murray Cook goes full circle with YouTube series

Soul Movers Lizzie Mack and Murray Cook headed to Wiggles HQ for episode one of Murray's Musical Mates.

Ahead of his anticipated turn at The Wicko with his stellar outfit The Soul Movers, guitarist Murray Cook has launched a new YouTube series.

The series is called Murray’s Music Mates and episode one, dubbed Coming Full Circle sees Murray and fellow Soul Mover Lizzie Mack drop by one of Murray’s old haunts WIGGLES HEADQUARTERS!

Yep, that’s right. Murray and Lizzie take you on a whirlwind tour of where all the Wiggles magic happens and yes, it is the entertainment equivalent of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory!

And talk about a costume wardrobe!

If that’s not enough, the ep will also give you a glimpse into a clip shoot (filmed in Hot Potato Studios, no less) for the Soul Movers’ banging disco version of their track Evolution which features all four OG Wiggles – Murray, Greg Page, Jeff Fatt, and Anthony Field – AND the OG Wiggles dancers!

Murray said the episode, which also features some hilarious archival live Wiggle footage and chats with Jeff and Greg, was a lighthearted antidote to the current COVID situation in NSW.

“If most of us are now inside our homes for 23 hours a day, here in greater Sydney, then some YouTube (home-delivered) comic relief is no doubt greatly welcomed!” he said.

Episode two promises to be no less electrifying with Murray hanging out with musical mates DZ Deathrays.

Head here to check out Murray’s Music Mates.
