The Hunter Valley is set to mark International Women’s Day 2025 with a powerful celebration of female leadership in the tourism, hospitality, and wine industries held at Circa 1876 in Pokolbin.

Hosted by marketing professional and 2023 Hunter Valley Young Achiever of the Year, Jenna Vaughan, alongside Circa 1876 Executive Chef Joey Ingram, the event welcomes attendees of all genders to join in the festivities.

Kicking off the day is the Femme Festival, a showcase of wines from esteemed female-led brands, including Thea Wines, Glover Wines, Winmark Wines, and Sabi Wabi Wines. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the trailblazing women behind these labels while enjoying a selection of gourmet canapés in the scenic setting of Circa 1876’s lawn.

The event aligns with the 2025 International Women’s Day theme, ‘March Forward,’ emphasizing the importance of progress and recognition for female-identifying individuals in the region. A highlight of the celebration is a three-course lunch accompanied by premium wines, featuring two insightful panel discussions.

The TrailblazHer panel will spotlight established industry leaders, including Halliday Winemaker of the Year Liz Silkman, cancer biologist Professor Nikki De Iuliis, and former CFO-turned-lavender-farmer Marianne Villanueva.

Meanwhile, the Young LeadHers panel will showcase emerging talents, such as entrepreneur Madi Ingram, winemaker Emily Glover, and chef Lara Hagan, who transitioned from a career in real estate to the culinary world.

In addition to celebrating women’s achievements, the event will raise funds for The EmpowHer Scholarship through an auction and raffle. This initiative aims to provide financial support for education and professional development opportunities for women in tourism, hospitality, and wine.

The festivities will continue into the evening with live music and dancing as the sun sets over the picturesque Hunter Valley. Guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails and beverages while mingling in a vibrant, supportive atmosphere.

The Hunter Valley’s International Women’s Day 2025 event will take place on Sunday, March 9th, at Circa 1876 in Pokolbin. To take part in this day of connection, inspiration, and support for the next generation of women leaders, head to events.humanitix.com.
