She’s the lauded Australian country music legend who stepped out of the spotlight to put family first and raise her son, Jacky.
But now Gina Jeffreys is back with her first studio album in 12 years – Beautiful Tangle – and she’s heading out on the road to celebrate.
Armed with a bunch of new tunes and 12 years worth of stories to tell, Gina headed back to Nashville with her award-winning producer/muso husband Rod McCormack for the first time since 1999 to record the album.
The result is an all-acoustic affair laden with energy, harmony and heart.
“I’ve written every single song with some great writers – and every song is a page out of my life,” Gina said.
“We all sat in the same room and recorded everything live. I kind of feel as excited as I did when my first album came out over 25 years ago!”
Gina burst onto the scene back in 1991, taking the reins from Keith Urban as the Star maker winner at the Tamworth Country Music Awards.
Since then, Gina has become Australia’s first-ever female country artist to sell platinum albums
