Knockabout Aussie rocker Shannon Noll has barely had time to scratch himself over the last 12 months or so.
The Shine hitmaker won the hearts and minds of Australia with an oft-times revealing and highly personal turn on the Channel Ten hit reality show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.
After finishing second on the show (an ironic repeat of his first reality TV stint, losing out to Guy Sebastian on the inaugural season of Australian Idol. Shannon and his wife Rochelle welcomed child number four, Colton.
“We are just absolutely stoked with the little guy – he’s an absolute ripper,” Shannon gushed to Newcastle Live.
“He’s our little jungle baby – we call him that because he came around not all that long after I’m A Celebrity.
In that time, Shannon also released his fifth studio album Unbroken which has been doing quite well around the traps thanks largely to the singles Who Am I, Southern Sky and Land Of Mine.
“I’m really stoked with how the album came out and it’s probably the album that I’m most proud of because it’s my most personal yet,” Shannon explained.
However, when Shannon comes to West Cardiff next month, he will be largely in revisionist mode, revisiting all of the hits that have helped make him a household name over the past 16 years with his Singles tour.
“Shows like this are great for me because they remind me how extremely lucky I am to have been doing this for so long and the fact that the audience has been there right alongside me.”
Shannon added that he is also in career-best form in 2019, so punters can expect a well-oiled machine when he rips through such hits as What About Me, Shine, Lift, and Learn To Fly on the Wests Cardiff stage.
“One of the biggest things I took home from I’m A Celebrity was the idea of doing everything to the absolute fullest,” he said.
“I don’t want to just go through the motions on stage. I’m really happy with the way I’m singing at the moment and I’m taking the time to get match-fit before shows – for me now it’s all about going hard.”
