Shakespeare Under the Stars will return to Pacific Park in Newcastle with Twelfth Night this November.

Following the triumph of 2023’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, local theatre company Whale Chorus promises another dose of summer Shakespearean magic in one of Newcastle’s most picturesque spots.

The classic tale of mistaken identities, love triangles, and playful role reversals set against the backdrop of a shipwrecked adventure will be brought to life by some of Newcastle’s best actors.

“Twelfth Night is such a joyful play, full of silly season chaos and comedic love triangles,” Whale Chorus Artistic Director, Janie Gibson said.

“With our talented ensemble of local actors and creatives, we are bringing a unique Newcastle flavour to this year’s season.”

The production in Pacific Park is an all-ages event with families and theatre-goers encouraged to pack a picnic, grab a drink, and enjoy an unforgettable evening under the balmy night sky.

Shakespeare Under the Stars will take over Pacific Park in Newcastle in Newcastle from 28 November until 8 December 2024. For more information and tickets visit civictheatrenewcastle.com.au.
