SAVE THE DATE: Seth Sentry is bringing his Super Cool Treehouse to Newcastle!

Aussie rapper Seth Sentry certaknly hasn’t been resting on his laurels during all of this COVID nonsense.

And, (fingers crossed), Seth will be bringing the fruits of his lockdown labours to the Cambridge this October!

Throughout 2020, the Strange New Past hitmaker treated fans to Super Cool Treehouse a Youtube project that saw Seth commit to a weekly challenge whereby he created tracks out of beats sent in by fans and fellow musical travellers.

“I asked people to send me beats, some professional producers, some amateurs and every Monday I picked a new one,” he said.

“Then the aim was to write and record a song that week to be released every Sunday! Not only was it a great way to kill time during the lockdown but it really helped reinvigorate my love for straight up bars.”

With restrictions ending, Seth was able to venture back into the studio to collaborate with friend and producer Nic Martin to create Super Cool Tree House – a full collection of the songs from the YouTube series, with some tweaks and additions for keen ears.

All those who created beats have been credited on the new album with new single Castlevania, the only song to not feature on the YouTube series.

Then, during the Melbourne lockdown of June this year, Seth streamed his entire life to the world via Twitch for 10 days straight. He slept, ate, worked out, rapped, laughed, cried for 214 hours non-stop.

And yes, it did get weird!

But now’s the time for Seth to venture, bleary eyed, out of the house and back on the road. And he;s bringing trusty sidekicks DJ Sizzle and drummer Stevie Cat Jr, as well as his whole Twitch universe along for the ride!

Catch Seth Sentry at he Cambridge Hotel on Friday 1 October. Head here for tickets.
