Winners of the 2023 Australian Hotels Association’s Rockin’ the Puburbs band competition, Wicked Things will open for The Screaming Jets when they play Toronto Hotel on ANZAC Day.

Their standout performance impressed the judges, including rock legend and Rose Tattoo frontman, Angry Anderson.

“As a judge on the night of the battle…Wicked Things won hands down as the best act of the night. I witnessed all the vital ingredients for an outstanding performance; passion, great musical craft, enthusiasm for the task and best of all, showmanship,” Anderson said.

Wicked Things is a four-piece band made up of brothers Kaleb Hills on vocals, Cooper Hills on drums, and twins Blade Hills on guitar and Gericho Hills on bass.

The band formed in 2018 and has already achieved significant success, winning the 2019 Soundcheck band comp, which earned them a European tour supporting the legendary Dune Rats.

On top of the band scoring the support spot for The Jets, the band also picked up $5000 cash prize awarded to them by the newly appointed Minister for Night Time Economy and Music, John Graham.

Wicked Things will take to the stage ahead of The Screaming Jets on 25 April at Toronto Hotel. Tickets for the show are on sale at trybooking.com.
