The Hamilton Station Hotel will play host to a new local music showcase later this month.

The inaugural showcase brings together Saylor & The Flavor, Mishayla and Trophy Wyfe for a night celebrating Newcastleโ€™s original music scene.

Headliners Saylor & The Flavor will bring their trademark party mojo to the bill. The band, who recently supported Playlunch when they rolled into town earlier in the year, mix funk-driven grooves with larger-than-life rock energy and put on a show that has to be checked off every live music lovers’ gig list.

Newcastle indie-pop artist Mishayla , who stole all our hearts with her 2025 EP sincerely, will add an indie pop dimension to the showcase. Influenced by artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Dean, Mishaylaโ€™s music has really evolved over the year from raw, acoustic roots into a more defined, emotionally driven pop sound.

The showcase will also give punters the chance to catch Trophy Wyfe fresh from their triple j Unearthed High win. The band’s distinctive indie-punk sound took the top gong of the national band search back in June, making them the perfect addition to a local music showcase like this.

Cream Of The Crop will take over The Hamilton Station Hotel on Friday, 25 September, giving local music lovers a chance to discover a new favourite and support Newcastleโ€™s next generation of original artists. You can grab your tickets at oztix.com.au.
