Hot on the heels of a stellar performance at the recent Groovin The Moo festival, Thelma Plum is headed back to the Hunter on her first-ever national album tour!
Thelma will be hitting the Cambridge Hotel on Friday 16 August as part of her national Better In Blak album tour.
The album Better In Blak has been a labour of love for Thelma, being two years in the making and recorded in New York, London and Sydney with long-time collaborator Alex Burnett (Sparkadia, Anthony and Cleopatra)
The 12-track debut long player also boasts an impressive list of collaborators including Paul Kelly, Dave Le’aupepe (Gang Of Youths) and reportedly, Sir Paul McCartney who threw some guitar flavour on the track Made For You while Thelma was recording in NYC.
“It’s been a little while since I have been on the road for my own solo shows and I’m really excited to bring these songs to life and to perform them live,” Thelma said in a statement.
“Playing Groovin’ The Moo recently I was only playing the singles that have already been released so I’m really happy to open up the rest of the album and get these songs out there.”
Better In Blak is out on Friday 12 July.
