SAVE THE DATE: Newy party punks The Gooch Palms to rock the Cambridge with new album

Hot on the heels of the release of their third long player III, Newcastle bred party starters The Gooch Palms are headed back to home soil as part of their national tour.

The band will bring their party punk to The Cambridge Hotel on Saturday 10 August and they couldn’t be more excited.

“We can’t wait to tour this new album and for all you guys to hear the new songs live,” they said.

“We will be stacking the setlist with everyone’s favourite Gooch Palms hits from years past plus all the fresh bangers off the new album. Being able to play our songs to a live audience is the only reason we’re even in a band and it’s been way too long since we’ve been around Australia.”

Check out Are We Wasted below.

The aptly-titled III bears the fruits of The Gooch Palms’ extensive touring to all corners of the globe – showing a duo that is building on the sounds and the solid foundation created from previous long players Introverted Extroverts and Novos.

Led by the banging Are We Wasted, which charted at number 8 on the AMRAP Radio Chart, III traverses a lot of sonic territory.

Fellow Newcastle punks Surf Trash will join The Gooch Palms for the Newcastle show and much of the Oz tour.

Catch The Gooch Palms at the Cambridge Hotel on Saturday 10 August. Get your tix here.
