REVIEW & GALLERY: RYAN BINGHAM – LIZOTTE’S NEWCASTLE

We were treated to another exceptional night of live music at Lizzote’s last Saturday night with Los Angeles based, ‘Americana’ singer / song writer Ryan Bingham on stage with band mates, Richard Bowden – fiddle and Daniel Sproul – guitar.

From the first note Ryan had the audience in the palm of his hand, there was none of the usual back ground chatter in the room the crowd just watched and listened in awe. The only sound from the audience was the rapturous applause at the end of each song, which Ryan greeted with a huge smile that just beamed his appreciation of the crowd.

Australian duo Little Georgia  (Justin Carter and Ashleigh Mannix) opened the night with sensational set that complimented the night beautifully

Just raw, honest and emotive live music at its best!

There are two remaining shows on this tour before Ryan heads back home to the U.S.A

Tonight (04/29/2016) BYRON BAY THEATRE, BYRON BAY, NSW
Saturday 04/30/2016 Woolly Mammoth, BRISBANE

At 16 years old, on a balmy May Friday night way back in 1975. I rolled up to the Forestville Youth Centre (The Forrie Bop) tickets were a couple of dollars and the band on the night included the likes of Bon Scott, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Paul Matters and Phil Rudd, yes ‘ACDC’ all for $2.00, can you believe that.
