Young People Theatre’s interpretation of Romeo and Juliet, by Nicholas Thoroughgood, is not quite what you would expect.
The production, which is now playing at the Hamilton theatre, focuses on the violence of the story rather than the romance; with adult themes including blood, violence, self-harm, and death.
Samuel Adey, who plays Capulet in the production joined Tracy Mac on Today’s Newcastle in the Morning.
