Rob Hirst, Dave Mason and Dave Faulkner hold Q&A in Newcastle

Three of Australia’s best known song writers – Rob Hirst (Midnight Oil), Dave Mason (The Reels) and Dave Faulkner (Hoodoo Gurus) will take part in a special Q&A evening at Newcastle Museum from on Saturday 4 April.

Hosted by Chit Chat Von Loopin Stab, the Q&A event will provide an intimate insight for budding songwriters and local artist.

Tickets are now on sale for $25 per person and can be purchased via the Civic Theatre website.

“Fans of iconic Australian songs Quasimodo’s Dream, Beds are Burning and Like Wow Wipeout will get to hear the stories behind their favourites in an intimate setting hosted by musician, songwriter and MAX presenter Chit Chat Van Loopin Stab. Chit Chat has spent many years interviewing musicians from all over the world and is able to draw out revealing and personal stories from his talent. Guests to the Songwriting Q&A will learn as much about the people as their songs.”  Museum Deputy Director Julie Baird said.

The Song Writing Q&A is one of a program of events inspired by The Making of Midnight Oil exhibition at Newcastle Museum until 9 May 2015.
