This year, the local leg of CrewCare’s Roady4Roadies tour will kick off at Nobby’s Beach and conclude with a performance at the amazing Victoria Theatre in Perkins Street.
Roady4Roadies is a national event that aims to raise greater awareness of the critical roles crew play in making the magic happen at the live music events around the country. The event is organised by CrewCare, a charity dedicated to the welfare of crew.
And these crews need our help more than ever because all their work has been decimated by the lack of work during the pandemic.
Australian music crew number over 22,500 and there has been little support for them, other than the extraordinary efforts of Support Act, which have helped thousands in need through their darkest times.
So now is the time for us, live music lovers, to step up.
The Newcastle event kicks off with a leisurely, neighbourhood walk from Nobby’s Beach followed by family activities and live entertainment at the Victoria Theatre.
