Hot on the heels of the mammoth success of the flick Bohemian Rhapsody, rock behemoth Queen have announced an Australian tour in 2020!
Founding members Brian May and Roger Taylor will, once again, team up with frontman Adam Lambert for six giant stadium shows throughout Australia.
Announcing the Down Under tour, guitarist Brian May said the band were looking forward to surpassing the visual and musical spectacle they offered on their last Australian run in 2018.
“This is a great opportunity,” Brian said in a statement. “Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever and got us our best notices ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious! Watch out, Australia! “
Adam Lambert, filling the massive shoes of the late, great Freddie Mercury added: “We have a brand-new visual spectacle that will reframe these iconic songs and we are excited to reveal the show to Australian fans!”
Completing the tour line-up are long-term collaborator Spike Edney on keyboards, Neil Fairclough on bass, and Tyler Warren on percussion.
Queen will play ANZ Stadium on Saturday 15 February 2020.
