After months of writing, recording and refining, Hunter-based artist Dave Rumbler is ready to unveil the next chapter of his musical journey with the release of his debut single, Ride to the End.

The track will officially launch at Full Throttle Ranch in Buttai on Friday, 3 July, marking a significant milestone for the band and a song that has already built a strong following during live performances.

Described by Dave as a story-driven journey filled with love, loss, bad decisions and a classic โ€™59 El Camino, Ride to the End captures the gritty blend of outlaw country, voodoo rockabilly and cinematic storytelling that has become the bandโ€™s trademark.

“I think the detailed storytelling is whatโ€™s really connecting with people,” Dave told Newcastle Live.

“Iโ€™ve always loved the way Quentin Tarantino tells stories through his films, and I wanted to bring that same cinematic approach into my songwriting. I love songs that take you on a journeyโ€”travelling across America or Australia, things going wrong, love, betrayal, redemption, all those big human experiences.”

The story behind the song runs deeper than a typical country-rock tale. Dave revealed that Ride to the End forms part of a larger trilogy that follows a couple denied the chance to build a life together.

Drawing inspiration from Mexican culture and Day of the Dead traditions, the story explores the idea of love continuing beyond death as the pair embark on one final journey together.

“People have been messaging me personally about the stories in the songs and telling me how they relate to things theyโ€™ve experienced in their own lives, which is incredibly humbling,” he said.

While the songโ€™s characters and events may be fictional, Dave said the emotions behind them are drawn from real experiences.

“Iโ€™ve definitely experienced my fair share of hard times, especially over the last few years, and those experiences naturally find their way into my writing.”

Dave Rumbler will hit Full Throttle Ranch with his band on Friday, 3 July 2026, to officially launch Ride to the End. Hit fullthrottleranch.com.au for more info.
