The Southern Fried Chicken Burger from Mattara Hotel

BRADLEY BURGOYNE
ADVERTISING & PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER

My chance to shout out Mattara Hotel! There is no way I can sell this that will live up to what you will experience with this one. Just go treat yourself to the best Southern Fried Chicken Burger in the Hunter.

Lasagna Bites at Money Penny

MEG CLARKE
ADMIN & MARKETING MANAGER

Money Penny’s Lasagna bites are like no other. It’s like arancini – but lasagna. And it absolutely melts in your mouth and leaves you wanting to order another plate (or two). Pair it with one of their Pina Coladas and you’re in for a good time.

Crumbed Cutlets at The Burwood Inn

STEVEN PICKETT
MANAGING DIRECTOR

The crumbed cutlets at The Burwood Inn are the best in the region. If there’s any better I want to hear about it. My favourite meal in town before the fire in June.

Dumplings from Nan’s Dumpling Time

BONNIE ANNE
THE GOOD STUFF HOST & CONTENT PRODUCER

Literally the best and most authentic dumplings around, plus they’re a bargain! You can get them at Nan’s Dumpling Time food stall in the mall twice a week.

Ramen from menya Makoto

DAN BEAZLEY
PRODUCTION MANAGER

It’s a controversial opinion, but menya Makoto is serving up the best bowls of ramen in town – And I’ve eaten my fair share, both in Japan and around Australia. And it’s not just the ramen, the Hunter Street eatery is serving up delicious donburi, katsu curries and other deliciousness.
